Established in 1973 in Belfast. Moved to England in 1980. Resident in Bedfordshire 40 miles from London. A studio at the heart of the independent music scene. Recorded some of the most iconic music to come out of Ireland and England. Including  the Undertones "Teenage Kicks" E.P.

Davy Smyth
Owner / Engineer / Producer
Wizard Sound Studios opened in Belfast in 1973. Davy is a musician who has played in various bands both in Ireland and England since 1969. He has been engineering and producing music since he opened Wizard Sound Studios in Exchange Place, Lower Donegal Street, Belfast. The Hit song "Teenage Kicks" by the Undertones was recorded in Wizard Sound Studios, Belfast. Over the period of 1977-1979 Davy also recorded all the Bands on The Good Vibrations Label, including The Outcasts, Rudi, Ruefrex, Victim, XDreamists,Protex and The Moondogs. In 1980 Davy decided to move to England where the Studio re-opened. One of the first recording projects in England was Gerry McAvoy's Bassics Album. Over the years we have recorded a wide selection of music genres including Rock, Blues, Pop, RnB, Hip Hop, Reggae, Folk and Country.
